Chhattisgarh University (CGU) is a State University established by an Act of State Government of Chhattisgarh as published in the Gazette Notification No. F-73-156/2003/HE/38 dated 30.8.2003 under section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. The prime objective of the university is to bring revolutionary changes in the field of education, by way of making it cost effective and within the reach of one and all. CGU has been established to meet and fulfil the industrial requirements by producing highly skilled and capable professionals to meet the challenges faced by them. The university imparts educational training and research in the areas of Engineering, Technology, Medicine, Applied Sciences, Management and Agriculture. It offers the education through various Diplomas, Degrees and Integrated programmes in the various fields at its main campus located in the state of Chhattisgarh and at the other Campuses/Study Centres located in different parts of the country and abroad. The university also offers conventional as well as industry related and job oriented structured programmes at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research level.
