Lion population in 2010 stood at 411 while at present figure stands at 523. The enumerators found 109 adult males, 201 adult females, and 213 cubs and sub-adults distributed across four districts – Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli, and Bhavanagar.

Explanation: Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport at Andal is located in Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal. The Indian Air Force (IAF) B 737-700 Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) carrying the Prime Minister took off from Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport at Andal around 1pm and headed straight to Delhi. However, Commercial operations at the airport will begin from May 18 with Alliance Air operating a 42-seater ATR flight between Andal and Kolkata six days a week and Pinnacle Air connecting Andal with Bagdogra and Cooch Behar. Changi Airports International of Singapore has 36.2% stake in the project.

Explanation: Among the dead were Leif H Larsen, 61, the ambassador of Norway, and 54-year-old Domingo D Lucenario, the Philippine envoy and wives of envoys of Malaysia and Indonesia. The helicopter crash in a school killing all the people onboard. Thanks to god that due to security reason school was closed else children could have killed in this accident. The Taliban has claimed the responsibility but according to Pakistan military, the accident was happened because of the malfunction of the system / technical failure in helicopter. However, this attack is majorly seen as attack on the Pakistani Prime minister Nawaj Sharif who helicopter was return back after this accident when he was heading towards the same direction.

The Lok Sabha on 7 May 2015 passed amendments to the Juvenile Justice Act where special provisions have been made in the changed law to ensure it will not be abused to punish innocents. What is the new Law?: The juvenile will have to stay in juvenile homes till they attain the age of 21

Explanation: The law was updated where special provisions have been incorporated so that the law is not misused and innocent are not punished. Thus the juvenile justice board's panel which will include a sociologist and a psychologist, will determine whether the case is fit for trial under adult laws or not for the juvenile age between 16 to 18. Government stressed the fact that regardless of the sentence given, if convicted under the new law, the juvenile will have to stay in juvenile homes till they attain the age of 21. As per the National Crime Records Bureau, the total cases of heinous crimes by juveniles number 3887 in the country.

Explanation: All 4 sportsperson had written suicide note for alleged both mentally and physically harassment by the authorities and some seniors. Rajya Sabha on 6 April 2015 unanimously passed a historic bill to operationalise the Land Boundary Agreement with Bangladesh that provides for exchange of territories to settle the border issue which was pending since how many years?: 41 year

Explanation: The Constitution (119th) Amendment Bill, which will allow the operationalisation of the 1974 India-Bangladesh Land Boundary agreement, was passed with full support from 181 members. Also, after passing this bill now territories in Assam, West Bengal, Tripura and Meghalaya will come under the ambit of the bill. The bill aims at giving effect to the acquiring of territories by India and transfer of territories to Bangladesh through retaining of adverse possession and exchange of enclaves in pursuance of the agreement of 1974.
