Sub-critical is the least efficient and most polluting form of coal-fired generation as it requires more fuel and water to generate the same amount of power, and creates more pollution. In order to limit global emissions to a level consistent with the goal of containing earth's temperature to 2 degree Celsius, the International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that it will be necessary to close 290 GW (2,90,000 MW) of sub-critical generation worldwide by 2020.

Explanation: Telangana, the country's 29th state, came into existence on 2nd June 2014 was allocated with 133 officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 95 officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) and 58 officers of Indian Forest Service (IFS). While Andhra Pradesh is already had a total authorized strength of 376 IAS, 258 IPS and 149 IFS officers has now got fresh allocation of 161 officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 116 officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) and 69 officers of Indian Forest Service (IFS). These allocation of the three all India services officers is based upon the recommendations of a six-member committee led by former Central Vigilance Commissioner Pratyush Sinha.

Veerappa Moily was chosen for his 5-volume Kannada poem which was published in 2007 ‘Ramayana Mahanveshanam’.
