Explanation: The project, which is set to begin from June 16, will have several teams from the department trek to the areas where trans-Himalayan big cat has its habitat. These include places like the Gangotri National Park, Nanda Devi Biosphere, Valley of flowers, Askot Wildlife Sanctuary, Govind National Park and select high-altitude areas of Bagheshwar, Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh districts. Each team is expected to be led by an expert from the Wildlife Institute of India (WII). Besides snow leopard, the teams would also count Himalayan thar and black and brown bear.

Explanation: BHEL was awarded to establish a 4,000 MW (5×800 MW) supercritical thermal power project from Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO). This would be one of highly valuable gift to state on completetion of 1 year of its establishment. Valued at Rs. 17,950 crore, this is also one of the highest value orders ever placed in the capital goods sector in India. However earlier in December, 2014, TSGENCO had placed an order on BHEL for setting up Telangana’s first Supercritical Thermal Power Plant of 800 MW rating, also on EPC basis, at Kothagudem, followed by an order for the 4×270 MW Bhadradari TPS at Manuguru in Khammam district in March 2015.

Explanation: The Act got the President's assent and will come into force from April 1, 2016. Therefore, the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015 provides for a minimum penalty of Rs 50,000.  Beside this penalty, now tax authorities would be able to send summons or notices via electronic mails (emails) and fax to seek information from those under probe for suspected black money stashed abroad. The person shall be precluded from taking any objection in any proceeding or inquiry under this Act that the notice, issued for assessment, was not served upon him, not served upon him in time or served upon him in an improper manner. However, this provision shall not apply, if the person has raised the objection before the completion of the assessment and if found guilty then after the end of the short-term period, an assessee will have to pay 30 per cent tax, and its three times as penalty on the tax computed on undisclosed foreign income and assets, and face criminal prosecution which could result in jail term of up to 10 years.

India's first semi-high speed train got its approval from Government on 31 May 2915, thus will run between Delhi and Agra at a speed of 160 km per hour and will complete the 210-km journey in just around one-and-half hours. What is the name of the Train?: Gatiman Express

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered rail engines could be used in the eco-sensitive Agra region according to railway sources. The communication and signalling systems have been upgraded. The train could be hauled by a 5,400 HP electric engine and is likely to have 12 coaches, to begin with, with automatic braking system and fire alarm. The tickets may be slightly higher than Shatabdi but yet not decided.
