What is the name of Indian-origin scientist who has developed World's first water-based computer?: Manu Prakash

Explanation:  Manu Prakash is an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at Stanford University and with his 10 member team has developed World's first water based computer. The work combines Prakash's expertise in manipulating droplet fluid dynamics with a fundamental element of computer science - an operating clock. The Application is universal in nature thus the droplet computer can theoretically perform any operation that a conventional electronic computer can crunch, although at significantly slower rates. The ability to precisely control droplets using fluidic computation could have a number of applications in high-end biology and chemistry and scalable digital manufacturing.

Delhi Metro received India’s first driver-less metro train (procured through Hyundai Rotem, which manufactures them at its facility) on 4 June 2015 from which country?: South Korea

Explanation: The new generation train, which is a part of a 20-set consignment, will be suitable to eventually run on UTO (unattended train operation) mode. These trains are being in Korea. Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) is manufacturing these trains in India. BEML already produces metro trains at its manufacturing facility situated in Bangalore. It is now engaged in the manufacture of 61 sets of metro trains to be run on UTO (unattended train operation) mode. UTO simply means that train operators will not be required to operate these trains and the Operations Control Centre (OCC) of the metro system will directly regulate the movement of the trains. Initially, train operators will be deputed for operation. They will be gradually withdrawn to move to UTO. These trains will run on the corridors of Phase-III of Delhi Metro. This Phase comprises of 58 km-long Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar (Line 7) and the over 38 km-long Janakpuri (West)-Botanical Garden (Line 8) corridors.

Which company has launched a new localised data center service for mobile network operators on 1 June 2015, enabling the operators to better compete with the likes of Amazon and Google in providing internet services?: Nokia

Explanation: Nokia will offer cloud-based datacenters running on Intel Corp`s platform to network operators seeking to contend with the soaring growth in mobile data traffic. Normally datacenters are massive facilities used to house vast amounts of computers needed to run the most demanding Web and mobile services. However, by taking a modular approach, Nokia`s datacenters come in pizza box-sized services and provide operators with ultradense computing power they can install alongside existing antennas and base station gear that connect callers in local areas to wider voice and data networks. These local datacenters can then be connected to and backed up by centralised, large datacenters. Therefore, Nokia`s AirFrame datacenter products will allow data processing capacity to be shared by adjacent base station cell sites or by a centralised datacenter when any particular part of the network becomes congested with mobile users.
