Explanation: The patent for a wearable emotion detection feedback system' was filed in October 2012, and awarded earlier this week however it is not confirmed that whether Microsoft intend to build this glass or not. The salient features of this glass would be:

-The wearer of the glasses can determine who to analyse, whether an individual or a group, without their knowing

-Sensors, including depth cameras and a microphone mounted on the nose bridge, will pick up visual and audio information from a subject.

This would be processed for things like subtle variations in speech rhythm and amplitude, choice of words, type and speed of gestures, eye focus and body posture.

Edge would be available only for Windows 10 and further.

NASA’s 11-year old probe mission for Mercury ended on 30 April 2015 after when it crashed into the little planet. What was the name of this historic probe?: Messenger

Explanation: On 30 April 2015, Messenger slipped out of orbit and slammed into Mercury after being out of fuel. Messenger was an acronym for Mercury Surface, Space Environment, Geo-chemistry and Ranging launched on 3 August 2004 from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. It became the second mission after Mariner 10’s 1975 flyby to reach Mercury in March 2011 as it entered Mercury’s orbit and thus created history to become the first probe to do so. Messenger’s original goal was to take 2,500 images of the planet, but it has returned more than 270,000 to earth.

Which broadcaster is experimenting with a pilot project to let people watch TV channels directly on their smartphones, without using Internet or telecom broadband, in an ambitious attempt to reach the largest number of audience ever?: Prasar Bharati

Explanation: Prasar Bharati plans to create a bouquet of around 20 free-to-air channels, including top DD channels and some popular free-to-air channels operated by big private broadcasters. The reason that why this would testing would be successful because there are a large number of installed transmitters that can be used to send digital signals directly to a device through an external dongle or an inbuilt chip designed specially to do so. Each viewer will be able to view the content through a dongle attached to a hand-held device, which ultimately could be inbuilt into their system by hardware manufacturers like Samsung, Apple, Microsoft and HCL, as was done for FM radio channels.

Explanation: This launch is seen as the Google's biggest effort to displace Apple. Currently the Project Fi is only available by invitation and to Google Nexus 6 smartphone users. The great feature of this service is that the service will use Wi-Fi hotspots along with the US mobile networks of Sprint and T-Mobile. Also it may be used in 120 countries without roaming charges with a monthly cost of $20 for basic service plus $10 per month for each gigabyte of data used. Customers will only pay for the data use, unlike some carriers which offer packages.

Alerts about hit-and-runs and kidnappings in Los Angeles will soon pop up on traffic through Which Mobile App, along with road closure information as notified by the West Coast city`s mayor?: Google app Waze

Explanation: Waze is a traffic and navigation application to which users contribute information in order to share real-time road information. The app has already begun showing street closures and will start including hit-and-run alerts and so-called Amber Alerts sent out for kidnappings in the coming months. Thus the agreement is part of a data-sharing partnership between LA and the Google-owned tech company. However in January, it was emerged that Beck had sent a letter to the tech company`s CEO lamenting that the Waze application posed a danger to police because of its ability to track their locations.
