Sacred Heart Degree College must have been the greatest dream of our Foundress Mother Thatipathri Gnanamma, a young widow from Phirangipuram, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, when she started the first school for girls on 3rd May 1863 at Kilachery, a village 40kms away from Chennai.
