| Makhanalal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism or Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Avam Sanchar Vishwavidyalaya is a public university located in Bhopal. It is also known by the name Makhanlal University. It was set up by the Act 15 of 1990 of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly and also recognised by UGC. Historically, it is named after Makhan Lal Chaturvedi, a freedom fighter, poet and journalist. The University was formally inaugurated on 16 January 1991. It is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). |
