About Graphic Era University/graphic Era Institute Of Technology
Graphic Era University (GEU), is a Private University established in 1993 by Professor Kamal Ghanshala. It was one of his bold venture in providing service to the society through a private educational system, without looking for any form of assistance from other agencies. It was formerly known as ‘Graphic Era Institute of Technology’. It was declared as Deemed University U/S 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 vide Notification F.9-48/2007-U.3(A) dated August 14, 2008 and Approved by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India." However, as per India's Human Resources Development (HRD) Ministry’s January 2010 list, GEU appears to be de-recognized of its deemed status. GEU offers academic and professional programs at Undergraduate and Post-graduate level in Engineering, Management, Computer Application and Hotel Management. 10% of the seats in each course are offered to NRI/PIO students. The university is spread over 30 acres of land. Graphic Era University students are required to adhere to the defined dress code while engaging in academic activities in the campus such as attending lectures or working in laboratories. However the students are allowed to wear the dresses other than uniform, two days in a week
