Explanation: In the process of power generation NTPC require to buy a lot of spares and also take services of many agencies for maintaining and operating their plants. The extent of spares they use every year is approximately Rs 2,000 crore and the services are valued at Rs 1,600 crore across NTPC plants. Thus to bring the transparency in the system the PSU is undertaking enlistment of vendors and contractors for procurement of materials and work contracts on all-India basis.

Explanation: Hitachi Automotive Systems India has invested around 5 billion yen (Rs 3.13 billion) to build the plant in the integrated industrial park of One Hub Chennai. Hitachi Automotive Systems India will manufacture valve timing control systems and ignition coils from October this year at the facility at Panchanthiruthi village in Tiruporur Taluk in neighbouring Kancheepuram District.

In one of the largest-ever employee bonus payouts in the history of India Inc, software exporter TCS on 16 April 2015 announced a Rs 2,628 crore one-time bonus to staff to mark which anniversary?: 10Th Anniversary

Explanation: This special reward to employees acknowledges the role the employees have played in building TCS into one of the most respected and valued technology services companies in the world. Thus, till March end , TCS had 3,19,656 employees and all employees who have completed at least one year in service will be eligible for the bonus and will get a reward equivalent of one week's salary for every year of service. TCS delivers more than 60 percent of the total profit of Tata Sons. The huge bonus payout has resulted in the company reporting a steep 27 percent decline in net profit at Rs 3,858.2 crore, despite close to 13 percent rise in revenue at Rs 24,219.8 crore during the March quarter. Founded in 1968 by the late JRD Tata, TCS had a revenue of Rs 94,648 crore or USD 15.5 billion, up 15.7 percent in FY15.

Microsoft and Yahoo on 16 April 2015 have updated their search partnership to allow more flexibility in searches. Along with this update which process came to end with Yahoo?: Yahoo`s exclusive sales force role with advertisers

Explanation: The companies announced the revisions to their original 2009 agreement on 16 April 2015 as to compete with search giant Google. The partnership is non-exclusive for both desktop and mobile as Yahoo will continue to serve Microsoft`s Bing ads and search results "for a majority of its desktop search traffic. Another change in the agreement was related to the concerns of advertising. As under the original agreement, Yahoo was the exclusive sales force for both companies ad platform but with the  new deal, Microsoft will have the exclusive sales force for ads delivered by Microsoft`s Bing Ads platform, while Yahoo will continue to be the exclusive sales force for Yahoo`s Gemini ads platform. However, the agreement keeps the provision that Microsoft will continue to pay part of its ad revenues to Yahoo from searches on Yahoo sites.

Explanation: The Company has started out with 500 employees at the 1.84 lakh sqft facility. It already employs 2,400 at its similar facility in Mumbai, which currently helps the global operations on technology, operations, finance, fund services, compliance and other specialised functions, apart from housing Morgan Stanley India's business units. The new Office provide support services to business units across geographies, complementing the growth of other support centers in Mumbai, a per the statement by Morgan Stanley, without disclosing investment details.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on 13 April 2015 notified that it has commissioned another 600 MW unit of a thermal power project in which state?: Chhattisgarh

Explanation: The unit was commissioned at Dainik Bhaskar Power Ltd's (DBPL) upcoming 2x600 MW thermal power project located at Dhabra in Janjgir Champa district of Chhattisgarh. This is the second unit of the power project, commissioned by BHEL and thus it stands at 68 per cent of the total installed capacity in the state.
